NewCal: Interactive Calendar and Wallpaper Display

NewCal is a free Chrome add-on developed by ayush.mehra that provides an interactive preview of your Google Calendar on the New Tab page. Along with displaying the current time, NewCal also offers beautiful wallpapers powered by Unsplash.

With NewCal, you can easily see your Google Calendar events on the New Tab page. The interactive calendar view shows the current time and event details, and it even includes Zoom buttons to conveniently join your calls. You can also view events for different days and specify which sub-calendars you want to see in the daily view through the Settings.

NewCal offers several features to enhance your calendar experience. It provides an event attendee summary, including their RSVP status, and different event border types that quickly indicate your current RSVP status. The events also match their calendar's color for easy recognition. Additionally, NewCal features smart Zoom parsing, which removes extra Zoom information from event descriptions to keep details light. It also ensures that events are always shown in your local time zone with its smart TimeZone conversion.

Please note that NewCal currently only supports Google Calendar and does not display all-day events.
